The apostles heard. Peter’s attitude of having gone to Cornelius’ house and eating with him dispeased the apostles and other Jews who had converted their faith to the Lord Jesus.

Conservatives considered that the Mosaic men were unclean before the Law. For them, association with a Gentile could contaminate or corrupt them. They Thought this because they had not yet received the same revelation given to Peter – the Gospel would not restricted to the Jewish people but it would be taken to the nations of the world.
